Dental Implant Tustin: Dr. Guyot talks about dental implant
Q: What Are Dental Implants Made Of?
A: Most dental implants are made of titanium. A traditional dental crown, a traditional partial denture or a full denture are made or restored on top of the titanium implant. Sometimes multiple implants are used to support the restoration. Titanium is generally used to make implants because it is a very biocompatible element that has proved to be most effective at integrating with the bone. Titanium is also a very strong metal which adds to the durability needed to resist the forces generated in the mouth.
